de l’Escalier
Scenography and video conceived for the launch of JEREMIAH's debut collection. L'Esprit de l'Escalier captures the scattered thoughts of a young man in flux, brought to life with a nuanced spatial composition that blends the poetry of everyday life and a disheveled elegance.

The French expression L'ESPRIT DE L'ESCALIER, which refers to that moment when the perfect comeback comes to mind too late, serves as the guiding thread of this scenography. The TEENAGE BUSINESS collection by Geneva-based fashion designer Jeremy Currat tells the story of a young man clumsily navigating the world of job interviews. It is brought to life by SOUPLEX ATELIER through a narrative and poetic scenography, imbued with references and memories.
Modular panels evoke the spaces where the protagonist mentally replays his interview conversations: the bus stop outside a building, a friend's basement, or the toilets of a nightclub. This staging reflects his scattered thoughts and endearing awkwardness and subtly accompanies this character overwhelmed by the challenges of adult life — offering an immersion in his universe that is both touching and disorienting. Modular in design, the scenography also served as the backdrop for both the collection’s photoshoot and its public presentation.
